Atelier E.B index® Classic T-Shirt, Bark Tartan

With a timeless relaxed fit, excellent durability and a remarkable knit quality, there is no garment more essential than the Classic T-Shirt.  Weighing in at 130gm2, it is composed of 100% organic cotton.  This jersey uses mercerisation and Naturally Clean® technology to establish its deep clean nature and refined surface.

This tartan print was originally used on silkscreen printed garments in 2007 as part of a collection of Beca Lipscombe’s eponymous label, and here it is reproduced as a digital print. Together with index® they have recoloured and overdyed the check to achieve subtle and sun-kissed results. Atelier E.B work with familiar design motifs, ones that have been reused and revised by successive civilisations, patterns like Greek ornament, Paisley pattern, and here geometric tartan. By using contemporary production techniques to interpret them, they highlight the vitality and adaptability that makes so many people want them to be part of their wardrobes.
