Atelier E.B index® Boxy Longsleeve Dress 135, Cocoa Paisley

This unisex Boxy Long Sleeve Dress/Tunic is crafted from a refined single-ply jersey for a lighter, more breathable wear. It features a relaxed silhouette with a drape that offers movement without being too stiff, creating an effortlessly elevated look.

This Paisley style motif, found in the archive of the Paisley Museum, was one of the first graphics Beca used to experiment with digital printing on textiles after a lifetime of silkscreen printing. At that time, to offset the inherent coldness of the digital process, she printed on to textured corduroy fabric. Sixteen years later she revisits the print again this time in collaboration with index®, cutting up the motif, recolouring and over-dying to give it warmth on this organic European cotton jersey.  The subtle tone, implying weathered fading, makes it an innately relaxed and cosy garment, invested with memory, nevertheless ready to have your story imprinted on it.
